A couple weekends ago we had some gorgeous mammas & their adorable babies join in for the Mommy & Me Mini Sessions! It was so fun frolicking thru the golden fields at Bommer Canyon, Irvine . It was really the perfect soft light we needed for our sessions too! I just adore motherhood and getting to capture that raw beauty of it all is my absolute favorite. Here are a few sneak peeks from the mini sessions.

You guys might remember these two new parents from their recent maternity session with me . Well Baby Owen is here and so incredibly loved, not just by his parents but by his fur-siblings too ;)  I love getting to capture those beginning moments of becoming a family , I witness the powerful love that exists between the parents and their new little bundle of joy and it melts me. I am such a mushy heart behind my lens , I seriously have the best.job.ever. I can’t say that enough.

So I’m incredibly behind on blogging guys! I have quite a few fresh new sessions hitting the blog soon though! 

This Shaw’s Cove Laguna Beach Session had that soft dreamy sunset light that I just love! The Dowden’s Family came all the way from Indiana to visit our California beaches and I swear they look like Californians, don’t they? Little miss Emily (age 2yr) is about to be a BIG sister! She was full of many expressions and excitement which made it such a joy to capture her! Not to forget to mention her adorable little boho dress her mamma managed to find for our session, I mean how cute are those sleeves?! This sweet girl is so incredibly deeply loved and it shows! Grandma Karen reached out to me to capture the generations of her family and I am so honored to have been able to document their growing family for them while on vacation. I mean, what better way then on vacay right? 

If you have been putting off family photos or trying to get a large session done, now is the time to do it! you wont regret having these tangible memories for years to come with those you love!

This gorgeous mamma, Jessica,  is a dear friend of mine and I just can’t get enough of photographing her new little girl Avery. For this session we incorporated floral crowns and flowy neutral toned  dresses to really get that dreamy feel to our session. I loved just sitting in the fields with these two watching them interact and capturing their love + bond. I think motherhood is so incredibly beautiful and we really can’t photograph it enough. I love the raw emotion and real connection between a mamma and her offspring , I love to get those natural organic shots that allow us to once remember a time that seems to go by so fast. Alesia & Garrett were so much fun to photograph! For their engagement session we decided on Crystal Cove State Park to really get the diversity of the scenic there, the rocky areas and long stretches of sand plus those gorgeous ocean view cliffs you can’t beat. We strolled the beach , they giggled and hugged along the shore line and explored the rocky areas for some even cooler shots. When we headed back up the beach we decided to throw down a blanket to enjoy the sunset. These two requested to incorporate their fav drinks in their session to add a little bit of personal sentiment, so they had a refreshing few sips while enjoying the sun making its way down the horizon. I love when my clients come out of their shells, and these two did just that with their playful piggy back rides and beach wandering. I try as much as possible to get clients to a relaxed state so they can just have fun and be themselves, because thats when we are able to really capture the raw emotion and connection, the realness between two people in love. For this session we wanted to go for a more soft romantic vibe so we looked for a long flowy blush pink dress for Alesia to wear and thought a pop of color in Garrett's pants would add some character & contrast too so went for a forest green tone. I usually cling to lighter tones for my sessions but for this one we went toward the deeper & richer tones being near the rocks and romantic cliffs. It was a great day for an engagement session , we got some killer sunset colors in the sky!

These two. Oh let me tell you. They are so incredibly in love and it shows. Kathy & Sergio tied the knot at Strawberry Farms Golf Club and they had their small group of friends & family there to witness their very touching love story. It was incredible to see their guests moved to tears and so much laughter during their vows. These are the weddings I live to document , the ones with raw emotion and connection. Kathy & Sergio are so incredibly easy going and made my job super easy. 

They had their dinner reception at Cucina entica Newport Beach . When I stepped in the restaurant, I died a bit inside because it had seeping sunset light with hanging plants everywhere, tons of greenery (all of which are my fav. ) and lots of gorgeous touches of details that my camera was so enthused to document. 

These two are just so incredibly fun and it shows in all their wedding day details!

This wedding was one I will never forget and I love that I can truly call Kathy & Sergio my “friends” after being a part of such an intimate day ;)

My little Audrey ... Turning the BIG 2!

I can hardly believe you turn TWO today! And rest assured, I will be saying this for every birthday you and your sister have for the rest of your life, so you might have to get used to it.

Your little body is always on the move, usually at top speed and you have no trouble keeping up with your big sister. You have a big personality and an even bigger attitude. I think my favorite thing about you is the incredible bond you have with your sister. Your love each other fiercely and it shows. You play and snuggle and read and sleep together. You turn to her when you need help and she protects you like a mama bear. She is the first person you look for when you wake up, and you light up when she comes home from school at the end of the day. It is my fervent wish that you never lose the relationship that you have with your sister. It is precious and will carry you through so many tough times ahead. 

You challenge me on an hourly basis, never taking no for an answer – determined to march to the beat of your own drum. While it drives me crazy, and makes our daily life that much more difficult, it also reassures me that you can handle whatever comes your way. That you won’t be pushed into things you don’t want. You know your mind and aren’t afraid to speak it, so I have no doubt that you will always be able to stand up for yourself. You are a strong little girl and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

I have been working more than usual lately and it hasn’t escaped your notice. You have turned into a snuggle bug, constantly wanting to curl up in my lap and wrap your arms around my neck. You crawl into my bed in the wee hours each morning (or the middle of the night) and burrow yourself right up next to me and truth be told, I love every second of it. You won’t want to snuggle with me forever, and your tiny body won’t fit with mine the same way much longer so I am soaking up every minute that it still does. 

I would love to keep you exactly how you are at this moment forever, but I know I can’t. What I can do is cherish every single second of right now. Savor your high pitched giggles and tickle your quickly disappearing baby thighs.

Your daddy , big sisssy & I all love you more than you could ever imagine.

Happy, Happy 2nd Birthday Baby Girl…..wishing you a million days that reflect the possibilities you see.
