I’ve had the honor of photographing the Langford Family for a few years now and they chose to do their session at The Lido Marina Village which is such a fun spot for family photos, especially for those looking for something different than the beach or park. I love the clean bright open spaces and lines, the aesthetic at Lido Village is what photogs dreams are made of. I tend to also feel the most inspired when photo-shooting near a body of water , and their open docks sitting oerlooking the harbor makes for the greatest photo opportunity. For this session, we took a dip in the water with our feet and strolled the local shops .

The Sanford Family wanted something different than just the beach this year for their family session so we brainstormed some ideas and decided The Newport Lido Marina Village would be a fun spot incorporating water + that light/airy aesthetic. I didn’t realize how much I would love shooting an urban lifestyle family session but this one was fun! This spot offers such a cool little dock area to hang, interactive activities for the kids, mural and monograms that inspire , and so many bright white spaces for photo opportunity.... literally what photog dreams are made of (not even a sponsored post, just literally love this place) Also , just a tip if you stop by, you have to visit the Honor Coffee shop , the bessstt coffee and such a fun little vibe!

When another photographer asks you to document their family , it’s a huge honor but when another photog says they also want to FLY you out to document their family - now that’s a whole other level. The Dinsmore family was a dream to photograph and their home was just epic with every corner full of light & love. I couldn’t wait to share more from this session with you guys but you know when you love something so much you savor it for as long as you can? Yep, thats how I feel about this session. I couldn’t possibly choose a favorite image from this family’s session because they all were my favorite. What makes this session so special? CONNECTION. Yep, that’s gold for me as an artist. When clients relax, play and laugh , are themselves in front of the lens- it allows me to capture them authentically , all that make up who they are as a family. For this session we literally did the everyday stuff from piggy back rides in the kitchen , to coloring , to story time, cuddles, airplanes- you name it. This mamma had her own beautiful style and love for photography as well, being a photographer herself- so she invested time into the aesthetic of her session , into the vision , and she trusted me whole heartedly as her photographer which I felt deep within-and it allowed me to unleash my creativity + make magic. This session will forever be a favorite that I hold dear to my heart. In-home sessions are just so incredibly heartfelt to capture because it's where your love grows, it's where your babies grow up making memories with you, it's the space of sometimes nostalgia later in years- such a privilege documenting a family in this space. I know I’ve said it before, but in-home family lifestyle sessions are my JAM.

All these soft dreamy natural earthy tones are what dreams are made of . I love a family who loves a neutral pallet as much as me , it truly makes for some beautiful light and airy imagery. The Olsen family was the sweetest to photograph as they snuggled up their firstborn baby girl . I love my job more than words- getting to capture these milestones for clients is such a privilege that I will never take for granted.

Being an Orange County Family Photographer is such a dream job you guys! Especially when you get to snuggle sweet little babies like this munchkin! She was full of smiles and don't even get me started on those big bright blue eyes! I love these open brown field family sessions because they are so different from the usual scenery we see and make for some really gorgeous scenic shots. The Lowe's family session is definitely going down as a favorite!

It’s always a little nerve wracking photographing another photographer, but I felt so honored when this mamma photog asked me to capture her gorgeous family while on vacation here visiting California. This Huntington Beach Family session was as light & airy as it gets and that's always a favorite of mine. I love how cloudy days offer us that soft diffused light resulting in clean modern family photos. Also, when clients are THIS stylish- it's just the icing on the cake. This mammas neutral pallet wardrobe was to die for and helped create some really dreamy shots of her family!

This sweet family came all the way from Austin, Texas. What a great way to beat the summer heat! We Californians dont realize how spoiled we are! The day of their session we lucked out with a cloudy day, this type of beach weather always offers that soft diffused light which I love! Don’t ever opt out of your session due to lack of sunshine, cloudy days can make for some great photos too! Plus, Crystal Cove State Beach is such a beautiful gem to shoot at!
