There is something especially meaningful about photographing a family through the years,  from when Jackson was first a newborn, to welcoming Vivian, and now documenting the Rhodes family as they prepare for baby number three.

This spring maternity session along the Huntington Beach coastline felt especially beautiful, with fresh seasonal blooms and pockets of green foliage lining the path just above the sand. The soft neutral tones of the beach reflected beautifully onto their skin, creating those creamy, luminous tones that photograph so naturally in coastal light.

As we moved through the session, we made our way from the blooms to the lifeguard tower and eventually down to the water, letting the changing scenery mirror this season of growth their family is in.

It was an absolute joy to capture the Parker family during this special chapter of their lives. With their baby girl set to arrive any day now, this Orange County maternity and family session was a beautiful opportunity to freeze time and create lasting memories. Lucky to have captured these two lovebirds as they baby mooned at Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel Resort. There’s something so special about documenting “the way life was” one last time on camera before the arrival of your newest family member. I’m loving all these baby bumps in front of my lens lately and these clean modern beach maternity vibes are my jam. I love that soft light from  the cloudy days and this evening offered us just that!

The Epler family were a delight in front of the lens, not only is this mammma stunning, but sharing the spotlight with her adorable boy and sweet husband was extra special. Maternity sessions are always special to me, their is something so beautiful about photographing expectant mothers, their glow, and their sweet growing bump and expanding family.... This Sunset Beach spot was perfect for this family session as I was able to capture them with the perfect beach weather that also highlights that open seaside brush on the pathway walking down. With all the wonderful Orange County photography locations its hard not to make this one a favorite, with its diverse scenery.

I love this location for its versatility, the fact that it offers a gorgeous nature walk down before you hit the beach makes for some really cool diverse scenery! Kristen and Ben were truly gems to photograph and their love was beaming from the way they held each other to those sweet heartfelt stares. I just adored photographing these two so much! Also, that FillyBoo maternity gown never gets old! It is so classic, timeless and elegant!
