Capturing the Bliss family’s in-home session with their blue-eyed, four-month-old son, Ryan, was a delightful experience that highlighted the unique charm of photographing infants between 4 to 6 months old.

As an Orange County baby photographer specializing in in-home sessions, I find this developmental stage particularly special, as babies begin to exhibit a range of expressions and personalities, making it an ideal time for photography. The Vasquez Family’s First Christmas with Their Firstborn

There’s something timeless about in-home lifestyle sessions, especially when they capture not just a moment but the season a family is in. I recently had the privilege of photographing the Vasquez family in their beautiful Palos Verdes home, celebrating the arrival of their firstborn during their first Christmas together. We began in their airy, light-filled bedroom, where the neutral tones and soft textures created a serene backdrop for quiet, intimate moments. The new mom’s sophisticated style, evident in both her wardrobe and home, added a natural elegance to the session. As we moved into the living room, the glow of their Christmas tree brought a festive warmth to the images. Including seasonal elements like a holiday tree anchors the photos in the chapter of life they represent—a reminder of the season their baby was born and the love that filled their home. From tender moments shared on the couch to their loyal black lab curling up nearby, the session was a reflection of joy, connection, and the beauty of welcoming new life.

It’s always an honor capturing other fellow photographers in the industry , but especially this mamma. Chloe, (of Chloe Moore Photography) glows as a wife and mamma, and her radiating joy makes a room light up. Call it cheesy or whatever, but when you scroll thru her family memories, you will see she’s full of laughter, kindness and joy. I’m telling you - you will feel it. Not to mention, this family has incredible home decor style, lots of seeping light and lots of LOVE - the opportunity to capture the gorgeous pockets of light in their home amongst them tickeling, snuggling, and playing, as well as witnessing their love for their fur-babies… well it was was one for the books ya’ll.
